Oil change intervals depend on the type of driving done. If most of the driving is on an open highway with little stop-and-go, the interval could be 5,000 to 7,500 Kilometers. But if the driving is short trips and/or stop-and-go, the oil should be changed every 5,000 kilometres or five months, whichever comes first. Engine coolant loses some of its protective qualities after a period of time.
